This book is AMAZING! I was so worried that I was not going to do well because its been awhile since I had gone over the basics but this book saved me. I scored in the 90s on my HESI A2 so this book was my savior! I am terrible at chemistry and I still scored almost a 90. It provides great review in every section that is on the HESI. Hands down get this book!
I am currently in my first semester of nursing school, so not too long ago I had to take the HESI A2. I originally used the HESI A2 study book by Elsevier (the company that writes the HESI A2 test), and that book helped me for everything EXCEPT anatomy and physiology. With the help of the Elsevier book, I made an A on all the sections, but I made a C on the anatomy and physiology. I had to go back and do my own research for that section because the Elsevier book wasn’t specific enough. This book by Trivium, especially the A&P portion, are incredibly in depth and will help immensely with studying for the HESI A2. The math, English, and vocabulary sections are also great reviews. The HESI A2 English section asks a lot of the specific rules you learned in a high school English test, and this book does a great job at going over all of those concepts.There are plenty of practice questions (including an entire practice test), and they closely resemble the questions that I encountered when I took the HESI A2. These practice questions are what really makes a difference when studying for this test. The more practice questions you look at, the better your chance. I am very impressed with this practice book. I had heard that the Elsevier version, but this book is AMAZING as well. This book is a bit longer, but that’s because it goes more into depth on the really important concepts.I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I would suggest this book to anyone who is looking to better their chances at making a great score the next time they take the HESI A2.
I think the layout is perfect. I could easily differentiate sections and move quickly through the material. I also love the tips sprinkled throughout. I feel much more confident going into the exam now that I have this study guide under my belt! I can't offer any words of improvement as it seems to be excellent as it is.
I just took the HESI A2 on December 1st. This book in conjunction with the pocket prep app helped me get a score of 95! I only had to take the math, human a&p, grammar, and reading sections. This book presented the information in a way that was easy to follow and remember. The practice questions were very similar to the format of the actual test, so I felt prepared. I highly recommend this book to anyone needing to take the HESI for nursing!
I would give this product a rating of a 5/5 because it helped me gain understanding of the material and then checked my knowledge with the practice questions.This book allowed me to not just memorize the material but actually understand it on a deeper level. I loved the images in the book. The images helped out a lot especially since I'm a visual learner.
I really like how everything is very organized and seems to cover a little of everything. I have not taken my exam yet, so it is hard to say if it prepared me accurately or not. However, I can say that I feel confident and fond it very helpful as a study guide. I have been out of school for a while so reviewing everything was very important. It would have been nice to have the vocabulary words offered in a form to make into flash cards. Possibly through a download pdf file or something.
This book is great for getting back in the program of things. I have been taking a break from school for almost 2 years now and this book has really helped. It covers all the basics in every field needed for the Hesi Test. I have not taken the text yet, but I feel like this books is a really good study buddy!
I think the book is very well designed. Particularly I like that each section lists how you will be tested on the material. I also like the wide margins within the textbook because it allowed me to take notes right in the book as I was studying. I wish the word list in the vocabulary section had an example of the word used in a sentence for better understanding.
