About the Author
Khenchen Thrangu was born in Tibet in 1933. He has founded numerous monasteries and nunneries, schools for Tibetan children, and medical clinics. He has taught extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, and is the abbot of Gampo Abbey. He was appointed by the Dalai Lama to be the personal tutor for the Seventeenth Karmapa.

Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche is, without question, an authentic master of the Buddhadharma. Although this book is not for beginners, it is easily understandable and very useful for intermediate-level practitioners. It was not because of Khen Rinpoche's superb teachings that I did not give this book five stars. It was the "translator's aside" comments, which are serious blemishes on this otherwise sublime work. This translator should stick with translating, and not add his peanut-gallery comments to the master's teachings. Thank you, I feel better now.
Some important and complicated concepts that are presented in a way that is very easy to read and understand. I will be coming back to this book a lot as my meditation practice progresses.
