I had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit many years ago but had not fully accepted the full power. A few weeks ago I began to receive prodding of my lack of putting His presence in the proper relationship in my life until I finally was convicted enough to go on line in search of spiritual help. I searched through a list of books that offered insights that would no doubt help me and I was lead to your book twice. I had never heard of you or read any of your material but I could not deny the knowledge that this was the tool I needed. I attend a wonderful Bible teaching church but the full power of the Holy Spirit is not always evident. I used my prayer language occasionally but I felt I was missing the importance that the Holy Spirit should be working in my life and I found it in The God I Never Knew. I am 81 years old and am praising my friend the Holy Spirit that he would not let me leave this earth without realizing His worth. Thank you for writing this book, I feel I am equipped for many new experiences.

The title really says everything. The Holy Spirit is God desiring intimate friendship with those who will receive. It is a dynamic relationship that is not "earned" but rather entered into. The depth of relationship is up to us.Robert Morris is transparent, straightforward, and clearly practices what he preaches. The influence of the Holy Spirit is obvious throughout this book as Robert Morris speaks to each concern, fear, and objection the enemy has conjured up regarding this divine Gift. Mixing that with compassion, humor, and encouragement the reader is led to examine his/her own relationship with God, the Holy Spirit.

As a lifelong Southern Baptist dissatisfied with the limited power within the Baptist churches I begged God for wisdom and knowledge of His Word. He led me back to the book of Acts which I could not refute the teachings of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Even Paul after over 20 years since the initial outpouring asked his early if not first question to the strangers he met if they had received the Holy Spirit. He didn't ask if they had been saved or water baptized. Somehow this revelation led me to this book I can't even tell you how I discovered it. I read it and I felt like Pastor Robert had read my mind about all the questions of receiving the Holy Spirit and coming out of a similar denomination. It is simple and easy to understand and full of truth as I have now realized. Thank You Pastor Robert for getting this out there!

This is one of the best books on the Holy Spirit that I have ever read. It coincides perfectly with the experiences I've had with the Holy Spirit so for those who want to learn more, this book is perfect. The Holy Spirit is not "scary or spooky" but as Morris explains, He is truly the "Comforter" and our "Helper".

I have always appreciated Pastor Morris' preaching on Daystar. He has a wonderful delivery and his touches of humor add to his presentations.I have never understood why the Holy Spirit is hardly explained or mentioned by many preachers. Such an integral part of our belief in the Trinity yet seldom mentioned. I have tried to read about the Holy Spirit as to understand how he fits into my life. I have learned much from Pastor Morris' book and am now more aware of his presence especially in these dreadful times as I am more at peace. I wish more pastors would deal with this topic. I feel the people are desperately searching for spiritual guidance and need to hear it is readily available. I would hope anyone who reads this book would find his heart filled with the blessings of Pastor Morris' clear explanations and the love and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Blessings--L. My mother recommended this book to me. I came from a home where my father believed one way about the Holy Spirit and the gifts we could and should receive and my mother believed another way. For the most part, they made their beliefs known and us kids were raised in a Christian-Baptist home. Therefore, there was a God I Never Knew, just as this book describes, despite my mother's best efforts. Or rather, my father and the Baptist's teachings won out. This book and Robert Morris really explains the gifts of the Holy Spirit as I've never heard it before. Or rather, as I just recently read it in the Bible, when I read it for myself.

Am reading the book on my AMAZON kindle and watching the series on cable too. Robert Morris is a wonderful speaker and pastor, very down-to-earth. As the title implies, he is also quite transparent. The book is powerful and comforting at the same time.

As an avid reader, I have an entire bookshelf stocked with books. Sadly, there are many I've started, lost interest in and consequently have not finished. I was hoping for better for this one. Thankfully, I got my money's worth and then some because I simply could not put this one down. Each chapter is written so clearly and has such a friendly tone that it was a treat to take a break and read.If you have questions about who or what the Holy Spirit is or does, read this book. Or maybe you already know, but you'd like to be able to communicate more clearly with others about the Holy Spirit. Do yourself a great service and get this book.
