I recently reviewed Christopher Hart’s Doodletopia Cartoons and loved it so I was excited to see Doodletopia Manga. I am not disappointed. “ From dressing up super-cute chibis to designing your own manga mazes to completing manga scenes and creating manga inspired crafts like bookmarks, stationery, and more, the opportunities for creative expression are endless.”This book is filled with cute manga characters, cute animals and scenes. There are step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. There are sections to suggest ways to finish your drawings by adding scenes to make them into a story and more interesting. I’m not sure I would consider the bonus section to really be “crafts and cut-outs” as it is just book marks that you can draw on and cut out but they are cute and a way to practice, and also some stationary pages to finish. There is also a practice page included in the back to doodle on. He has includes pages to practice finishing scenes and such.I plan on keeping this in my collection for future use. I think it would be good for anyone who may be interested in the manga characters and drawing cartoon figures. I first got introduced to this book through one of my leadership college courses. After reading just the first part of it, I was hooked. Ken Blanchard and Sidney Bowles have once again hit the mark in providing a simple common sense approach to leading employee engagement in your organization.I work in a food manufacturing plant and instilled the Gung Ho! principles on one production line as a plant pilot project and in just months there was an increase of productivity and a decrease in line waste, employee absenteeism and negative behavior. The line management on the remaining production lines begged to have Gung Ho for their line employees. I would recommend everyone to look past the parable story and focus on the facts of the principles themselves.Oh and for those of you who rated this book negatively, you probably need Gung Ho more than you even realize.I would rate it 10 stars if I could

This is a book that excited me with possibilities and outlined the potential in our situation. It offered some really common sense suggestions on how to motivate people and productivity that just tend to go against our nature as bosses/employers. It was recommended to us, and took us a while to get around to reading it, but I highly recommend it.

Gung Ho! tells the story of how a new manager of an under-performing factory, Walton Works #2, was able to turn it around into one of the best-performing plants within her organization, that being her threshold to her career success. The story explains in a very simple and clear manner the three main attributes of a well-motivated organization, their importance and their siginifcance within that organization.The book is brief and yet explains its main ideas in sufficient detail, and they seem very logical too. This book falls short of being five stars only because it says very little or nothing on how to actually implement the recommendations in the book, and what to emphasize and what to avoid. The book is mainly the experience of one group of people, so you may need to take a different approach to implementing the same ideas. Overall, however, this is definitely a very good book on organizational motivation.

Gung Ho does an exellent job of boiling down how people make organizations successful. Get your people involved by explaining the necessity of their job and let them decide whether to stay or go. Then hold them accountable for doing their job and you have happy people who understand the value of what they do and they will do it well. Gung Ho uses simple ideas to help achieve great success. All businesses are pretty much the same and really pretty simple to make successful. Unfortunately, we often end up complicating the job instead of making it simple...and fun...and enjoyable and we fail. Gung Ho is all about doing what common sense dictates in getting employees involved in the concern for success of an organization. Every business leader and manager should be required to keep a copy of Gung Ho on their desk or close to it.

Bill gives good, if sanitized, review of being a caretaker. He covers all of the basics, the struggles in finding affordable equipment, repairs to equipment, the frustration of manufacturers changing products. He doesn't even touch frustrations I'm sure he's had with know-it-all doctors who refuse to listen. I like the comment about on-the-job medical training. Bill and his wife have done an amazing job with a strong Christian support system. I hope they are able to set up a good care system for Ray after they are gone.

This book is very well written account of challenges and solutions found by a caregiver while caring for a loved one. This is a no-nonsense,no-drama book with solid advice on how to tackle some of the challenges.

I reread book one, The Best Kind of Magic, in preparation for this lovely sequel, and reading them one after the other was a great way to experience the story. In book two (I believe this is a duology, as this one wraps up pretty nicely but has some room for a sequel if Ms. Cestari chooses to write one), Amber is facing the threat of Kim, Charlie's soulmate. She gets herself pretty freaked out by all of that, plus the situation with Iris, Ivy's sister, but everything works out well in the end.I think that Amber grew a lot as a person in this book. She definitely made some immature, selfish choices with some things. But I related to her a lot, because what would you do if your boyfriend's soulmate showed up like that? At any rate, despite some emotional pain, love wins out for some people, so yay, and things are looking up for the cast of characters.As for the rest of the characters, I grew to like Ivy more in this book, and she really loves her sister. Amani and Vincent have a bit of a romantic breakthrough at one point, which is nice. Kim turns out to be pretty cool (which is a little infuriating for Amber) but I liked her. Amani on her own was fine. She and Amber had some tension and problems at one point, but she's an awesome best friend.The plot was great. The characters were pretty darn awesome. The magic rocked. Overall, I really, really liked this book, and I read it in one sitting of a few hours. 4.5 stars, and highly recommended!

Thanks to Disney-Hyperion and Netgalley I had the honor to receive The Sweetest Kind of Fate ARC by Crystal Cestari, for an honest review and if you couldn’t tell by my word choice above, I loved it.I effing loved it.Like seriously this is the kind of book that makes me want to stop reading, go out there to the cold and lonely world and find me an adventure so that it stops being a cold and lonely world to become a warm and full of love world.Okay, I cannot say it was completely perfect, because it wasn’t, but everytime I think about the story, it makes me smile and wish there was a motion picture of it *which Hollywood would probably ruin* and want to reread it again and again. One thing that I HATED a lot is the Charlie problem of it all. I wanted more Charlie and Amber time, but if you remember what happened at the end of the first book, we were introduced to the girl that is supposed to be Charlie’s match and if that is not the perfect recipe for a couple’s trouble then I don’t know what is.Amber decided not to tell Charlie anything about Kim being his match because obviously she doesn’t want to lose him and she thinks that by telling him, something will snap inside of him and make him realize what a mistake he is making by being with Amber and not Kim.Oh gosh that right there had me reading nonstop!Then another thing that I wasn’t too fond about is how Amber kept talking about sweets, baking, cakes, cupcakes and everything baking related, for like the first six or eight chapters. Granted it is what she is going to go to college for and is her passion, but it felt a little overdone. Thankfully Mrs. Cestari kind of knew when to stop Amber’s fascination with sugar because, even though it was a little too much in the first few chapters, it stopped just in time to not be completely annoying.Aside from those two things–which was mostly just one, the Charlie thing was necessary so I cannot complain that much–the story was wonderful.The main conflict of this book is what people do for love. Some give up everything they know and hold dear for the loved one, others are afraid to tell the truth for fear of losing the loved one, and others can’t let go of the damage a loved one caused them in the past that they are not willing to see that love doesn’t always have a bad ending.To my believe, love is the main theme of this series. Because as one person said one day, “Love is the closest thing we have to real magic, that’s why we are always trying to find it,” or something along those lines. And it is true, love is the closest thing we have to magic if you really think about it, we do crazy things for love and love seems and feels so powerful that sometimes is really hard to contain it.The Sweetest Kind of Fate captures what love is supposed to be.That love is worth everything. Which can mean taking a leap of faith and trusting that your feelings are worth more than what the fates might have predestined for you. And that obviously the “fates” are not always right.The person with the main conflict is Ivy, and to be honest with you, I still hated her for the events that happened in the first book, and well to say she had the main conflict is to say it generally. She was affected but she wasn’t the main person with the problem. It was her sister.Her sister wanted to give up something major, like do a completely 180 in her life for the girl she loved and you might think that Ivy’s problem with Iris’ wedding might be that she is marrying a girl, but it’s obviously not. The problem Ivy has is something completely unrelated to Iris’ sexual preference. Being straight or homosexual in this book is like second nature to the story, like it’s not a big deal, which is great because that is how life really is *for most people* you met people that are in love with someone from the same gender and it shouldn’t be a surprise just like is not in this book. *Totally sidetrack with this thought, but I think I had to say it.*Anyway, then we also have the overall conflict of “who you are meant to be with.” Amber is never wrong with her matches, even with her best friend. She might have hated Vincent when she met him, but in this book, I can say that has changed a little bit. And that is what brings us to Charlie and the main, LIKE MAIN conflict of all the story: follow the fates or follow your heart and let it guide you?We all know or have read about how powerful love can be, many times it gives you the power to do the unexpected, to pull through the most difficult situation, and many times love can prove more powerful than the fates themselves. So the million dollar question in this book was, are the fates right concerning Charlie’s match?This was an amazing story, with a few cliches, but I welcomed the cliches, they made the story way more enjoyable and every little part of every chapter left me wanting more and more. I really loved the book and I cannot wait for the third book, because there HAS got to be another book.The Sweetest Kind of Fate has a wonderful ending and I even though I REALLY would love another book for this series, I would totally *not really* be okay with the series ending like it did in this book.

This book was SOOOOOO good. It had all the adorable sweetness of a YA contemporary and an exciting magical adventure, too!

The Sweetest Kind of Fate picks up where we left off. Amber is much more comfortable with her inabilities as a witch and her ability as a matchmaker. Although she continues to struggle with in her relationship with Charlie and seeing his “True” match.I like Amber. She is your typical teenager, working towards her dream of getting into Culinary school. Which she really does work hard at it, having three jobs that keep her busy but help her for experience toward her goal. I still like her close relationship with her mom. Maybe they don’t always see eye to eye. Mainly the amount her mom reveals about her past to her. Even though she might not be talking about it, they are able to have a conversation where her mom says, hey this is something I don’t want to talk or tell you about.Lots more teen angst. As Amber struggles with her friendship with her boyfriends match. She finds herself pulling away. Unable to deal with the constant visions that feel like they are being thrown in her face. I don’t think you can really blame her on how hard that can be. It also strains her friendship with bff Amani. I felt like everything happening though was a natural course. You could see where everyone was coming from in the situation. Yes maybe there is some overreacting but it wasn’t out of the realm of normal human emotions. It was all very natural.I like this books other plot. Which is dealing with the supernatural transformation of a siren to a mermaid. There is of course drama involved in because of who is making the transformation. Also the resurgence of nemesis Victoria. So there is a bit of mystery involving that, especially tying into her mother’s past.I love Amani. I would love to see a book featuring her POV. I think it would be really interesting.The Sweetest Kind of Fate is a great mix of witchcraft, cuteness and drama. I really enjoyed this installment.

In this beautiful and personal book, Lacey recounts a deeply painful time in her past. Through experiences and lessons learned, she shares how God's love can heal our hearts and all of our earthly relationships.Lacey's been such a beam of light in my life, since I was sixteen when Flyleaf helped me through periods of depression. Now I'm almost 22, finally healthy, and living in the Light of Christ. I wondered if I would get as much out of this book as I did with the Reason, but it's filled with encouragement and wisdom for wherever you may be in life.For Lacey fans and curious Passerbys alike, this is a great read for all who want to know that true love exists.

Honestly did not want to start reading this book for a while and kept putting it off because I did not want to think about the subject after my last break up. but buckled up and read it anyway. well written and it Identified a lot of things I needed to work on within myself and views I had that were causing me the pain I had recently experienced. since then I have bought copies of this book for 4 women I know because I think it has important messages in it for them. Even as a guy, this book is a good read.

I enjoy Lacey Sturm's story. What a testimony. Its great for young adults or adults alike. She talks about struggles with drugs, relationships, depression, and suicide and how she overcame them all with the help of Jesus Christ. An encouraging read.

I read this book in one day.Lacey Sturm writes beautifully and with such vulnerability. The book is wonderfully encouraging and eye-opening.Lacey you are so beautiful in your obedience to the Lord, it makes me want to be closer to him as well.

My daughter could not stop reading this book. It helped her with whats she's going through. That no matter how hard your situation is, by God's grace you will get out of it and will overcome all those struggles.

Lacey is awesome, through her music and written word she inspires all generations to be better than they are and to keep the younger generation from ending it all like she almost did, no matter how difficult life may become. Yes, life is cruel and yes life isn't fair but the alternative is forever. I know from experiences with deep depression. I wanted to take my own life. Granted this one woman's story on how she found true love, not only with her inner self but with God and the love of her life, Josh Sturm and of course her children. I thank God every day that Lacey is still with us. She does have a reason to be alive.

I cannot wait to read her book, i used to love flyleaf and got so sad when she left the band and I didn't know why.. she's just so genuine and I love the fact that she is open about exactly what happened in her life and things people never want to speak of.

This book is raw, honest, and intimate. Lacey has made mistakes and explains how she has used the influences God has put in her life to turn things around for the good. This book is a "must read" for anybody thinking about getting into a relationship, or somebody who is already in one and wants to make it better. She discusses love, trust, and hope, and how with letting God take the lead, we can experience all three.

 I have to admit these cards took me a while to "bond with". The simplicity of the cards is something that took me quite some time to get used to. I have been working with oracle/tarot cards for many years and it seems I have always been drawn to cards with very intricate designs and messages -- these are quite simplistic in comparison. I had to actually to put them down for about a month before I got the "urge" to start using them. Since them, I have used them almost daily. The message are quite deep and the readings I get with these cards are like no other. I also appreciate the guidebook as it gives you questions to think about and offers spreads and new ways of perceiving the meanings of the cards. (Thanks, Denise Linn) I boost my other readings with these as well. I will often pull these into my angel card and tarot card readings and they are always spot on. I very rarely will find a reading that doesn't match up. If I am feeling blocked by one of my other decks, 9 out of 10 times, these are my saviors...they will immediately unblock me and help me to see something I missed. These are helpful for my personal readings as well as those for my clients. These are never far from my reach. I highly recommend these for both beginners and experienced readers.

Perhaps I use these cards a little differently than most. I discovered these cards in school while going through my Life Coaching Certification class. One of the assignments was to use Oracle cards to coach around, I found these and I immediately fell in love with them. I purchased them about two years ago.When I use them for coaching, I take them out of the box, give them 3 taps with my knuckles to release any previously stored energy and then I shuffle. Once the deck is cut, I lay them out on the table and fan them out and then I invite the client to pick the amount of cards I'll be using for the session. I rarely pick the cards, I always invite the client to do that since the service I am offering is Coaching rather than a Reading. After the cards are picked and I've put them in order for the client to receive, I impart to the client what each card represents for the session.The cards are never facing me, they face the client. I turn the card over after describing what the card will represent and let the image and the message speak to them. They usually receive a message instantly and that is where I start coaching. As I turn each card over and allow the message to penetrate the spirit of the client, coaching continues. Sometimes I use the booklet that accompanies the deck for further assistance. The booklet is invaluable because it also shows the client how divinely inspired these cards are.So, so much insight and messages comes through from the clients own interpretations of the cards. It's such a beautiful and transforming process to see each client receive internal messages that speak to their soul. So much healing is taking place. Even after the session, I invite clients to take a picture of the spread because the session continues to speak to them. Time can pass and all of a sudden, something happens that brings them back to the session and the cards that spoke to them.Every time I use these cards, I am blessed. The images are beautiful, the messages are simple and there is plenty of room for interpretation for the client. They feel good, they are beautiful to look at and there's plenty of clues and inspirations from the images to speak to each individual during the reading. If the client has a hard time grasping a message from the card, then I will open the book and share the authors interpretation of her creation in the card. That usually opens the door for discussion and invites more introspection. Every person derives something different from the cards as they speak on a very intimate level. I just cannot say enough soul satisfying things about these cards because they always impart more wisdom and insight every time I use them.I am not a reader however, I invite my intuition to speak if something about the card beckons to be shared.There is always abundant room for open dialog, insight, nudges, inspirations and answers. Yes, answers present themselves all the time if the client has questions. They interpret the answers according to how the cards speak to them and since each individual carries with them their own Truth, the cards never lie and they never steer the client wrong.With all that said, I love, love these cards. I have other decks that are beautiful and insightful but I always go to this deck time and time again. They are my very favorite!My soul sings every time I use them. They're kinda magical *

I like the positive message these cards deliver. I should note that every card is positive--this would not be a suitable deck for divination, in my opinion. There are no cautionary cards, per se. I dislike that they're pretty thick, and the coating doesn't allow them to slide nicely. I prefer cards that are more like playing cards: bendy w/o being cheap, and with a slick coating that allows them to pass over each other nicely when shuffling. I really like the colors and simple, non-cluttered art.I do mainly one-card draws with this deck. I pull a random card at the beginning of the day, asking what might be the best philosophy to to apply to my coming day. These cards offer lovely reminders to live your life positively.

This is another one of my always go to decks. It has a beautiful energy and several oracle card readers love going to this deck. It is very accurate and the understanding is very clear. I use this as the clarifying deck when I am not sure what another card may mean. This card just "spits' it out for me and for the person who consults me.

I have several oracle card decks and each has its own "personality". When I received this deck, it felt sweet and kind, open and loving. I have done a few readings with it and it seems to really touch base with what I am looking for. The artwork is beautiful and innocent. I love this deck and connect well with it. It is in my top picks of the decks I have.

Excellent card stock and condition

Beautiful artwork, thought provoking descriptions in the guidebook with several instructive pages on different card spreads all wrapped up in a powerful, loving energy. It's obvious Denise Linn put her heart into this deck!
