Adorable book! Witty and funny for all ages. Full of puns and figurative language and includes a positive message for the rewards of being yourself in relationships. I use it with small group Speech & Language instruction and the kids love it!
My three-year-old daughter and third grade class loved reading the follow-up to Everyone Loves Bacon. The book works great as a read aloud! Both my daughter and class enjoyed all of the humor, puns, and pictures. I enjoyed that it was a different story than Everyone Loves Bacon. Cupcake's dealing with the feeling that she needs to always be perfect, rather than Bacon who was vain. Cupcake's journey is one that many kids can relate to as adults are constantly putting expectations on children. This was a big hit and has been read multiple times in my classroom and by my daughter. Highly recommended!
Yes--Everyone loves Cupcake--including me! The book is bright and colorful for the kids. Punny and humorous for those of us who have to read it to the kids. The message--nobody expects you to be perfect--isn't heavy handed.Enjoy and then top it off with some cupcake baking/decorating with the kiddos.
