We love all the Pout Pout fish adventures. They are short, catchy, and inexpensive. We have pout-pout paper back and board books but the boards are better for the 1 year old. He sometimes gets rowdy and throws them, but no bent board pages. I like that the stories are short enough for me to memorize after 1 or 2 reads and I can recite them while he has the book and I wash dishes. Its short enough he can quickly become familiar with what page he should turn to based off what I am saying and it just gives me 5 minutes to clean up dinner dishes in peace.
I'd give it 3.5 but I can't. It's not like the "pout pout fish" book or "the pout pout fish in the big big dark". It's much more simple and shorter. Cute but nothin special. Get the other 2 books I mentioned instead. Those are amazing!
My toddler LOVES "The Pout-Pout Fish", and this is another cute book in the series. It's much shorter than the original book (it's a mini adventure), and the rhythm isn't as satisfying as the original, but it's a cute, short book (and sometimes short books are nice!) with a nice message.
I didn't realize when I bought this just how SHORT the story is... It takes all of about 1 minute to read. I wish it was a longer story/book. But if your kid is a pout pout fan, they will be happy regardless of the length of the story. Heads up, this is a 5 page board book for little little young kids... not what I was looking for to read to my 3 year old
I'm a huge fan of the original Pout Pout Fish book. It's one of our kid's favorites. We have so much fun reading it. However, this book is not really what I would call a sequel. Sorry if I'm judging it unfairly but it's just a dozen pages with a quick little verse and some disconnected illustrations. I should have researched more before getting this book.
My one year old granddaughter loves the Pout Pout Fish series. I do too! Strongly recommend...love the story and illustrations are fantastic!
We love this book! Our daughter is 18 months and dances back and forth when we read the Pout Pout pages. She also has us skip right to those pages sometimes :) Great book and adorable illustrations.
This book does not follow the same rhyming convention as the others in the pout pout family. I like that it’s short, but my LO lacks interest in passages.
