I am very confused about this product. I thought it might be better then people were giving it credit for, (esp. Because it is a new edition) However, that appears to not be the case. When going through the whole angiotensin blood pressure chapter, it literally is both out of order and parts are missing (like angiotensin 1->angiotensin 2) where did editing go? This is how bad it is it goes 3->1->5->2->6->8->7 good luck knowing the fourth step in the process! I thought it might be a good preview of my pathophysiology seminar class but it's just awkward. Shame on you Wulters Kluwer you guys have great products like uptodate.com then you have this s*** I would be like let's not publish this thing for another week and hire an editior (I hear they are pretty cheap because of all those liberal arts majors).
I just got this so I haven't been able to look through it very thoroughly but this is perfect for people who are visual learners- like myself.
I made sure to read reviews before purchasing this book. Made a big stink when the delivery person didn't deliver in time for a major pathophysiology exam. Got it, and was very disappointed, the book is very thin and has a limited information about of pathologies for each system, which didn't help me when it didn't cover the pathologies my professor required. For what it does have, the images are nice and helpful.
I bought this book to help me in a class (even though it was toward the end of the class when I bought it) and it seemed to help me understand diseases much better. Even if I thought I understood a disease, this book explained it much simpler than I was originally making the diseases out to be. By the way, the illustrations really help a lot as well! I highly recommend this book for anyone struggling in Pathophysiology!
