I am not sure why this is even called a book. It is the author’s recommendations for specific hotels and restaurants and a very rigid timeline in which to presumably see Istanbul the best way. Although the book is cheap, it really isn’t worth what little I paid. Save your money and put it towards the Rick Steves book on Istanbul. He gives a lot of detailed information and reasons why he suggests the things he does. I am going to find it much more useful.
This book was ok, it covers the tourist attractions. You can easily Google this places. This book also explains how to use public transit, and the cost for train, bus, taxis to certain locations. Which I thought was nice. Some of the hyperlinks no longer work. :(
Since I will be in is Stamboul shortly, traveling on my own this book will be perfect to help me find my way around.
It was really cheap so I gambled 3 dollars. It is Ok for the amount. But I will buy a normal book guide. I would probably not buy something similar for another city.
I like the no nonsense direct approach . I think the information is very useful. One fact is wrong though, we are arriving by an Etihad flight to the S G airport not Atatürk as the book claims all international flights do.Other than that I think it is useful and straightforward.

I got burned a few years ago on an Istanbul 3-day guide that I purchased through Amazon. A totally bogus "book", which was apparently easily assembled by cutting and culling. Is this just like one of those? It has my bet, alright.
