The idea of this book is great. It is short and packed with photos. I think it does a good job of teaching kids about the changing seasons. I bought this for my 2 year old. However, she didn't really appreciate it until she was 3. Now she can skim through it herself.There are a bunch of these little science photo books that National Geographic puts out. I don't know if I would buy them again, now that you can get so many pictures on the internet, and of better quality. The photos here seem a bit dated, compared to what NatGeo now produces.Classic take on the four seasons. This book is lovely, but in a world of digital devices, I don't know if this book will stay a classic.

My children and husband absolutely love these National Geographic books! I think we have them all. We rotate them according to the season. They are nonfiction but use great pictured of real kids, and they’re short enough to be an easy bedtime story.

Great photos that explain the seasons. There are close ups on things like tree buds and squirrels. The content is age appropriate and so is the font size. I have a 6year old son and it kept his interest

All of these National Geographic books are great and you cannot go wrong for the price. They have beautiful photography and make learning come alive for kids. Both my five year old and seven year old love these books and we bring them out as the seasons change to help illustrate what is going on in our own back yard. Your child will not even know he/she is learning!

I purchased this book for my son when he was in pre-K. It has beautiful vibrant pictures and the information is easy for children to understand the difference in the four seasons. My other son's, second grade teacher requested it from the parents to purchase as a classroom gift so it is appropriate for all pre-school thru early elementary.

Stunning pictures and easy to understand information. Both my 2 and 5 yr old sons really enjoyed this book - so much so that they requested some of the other books by NG pictured on the back cover.
