If you have a love for lions, this is a good start! The images were clear for their little eyes to follow. The descriptions were perfect to follow along for the kids. It was informative and full of knowledge. The pictures are great and well placed. I have the ebook so that is important for me.When the boys get bored or antsy, I can pull this up and they will spend hours reading. There is a series of these books that I have downloaded to keep the kids learning and busy. I would recommend this book to anyone who had a child that loved to read. It keeps the kids entertained and asking questions. It also pushing them to pay attention to things around them. If they see something similar in the book, they will shout it out whether it be on tv or while out and about. For instance the lion guard - spin off of the lion king - they love that show/cartoon and they now yell Lions!! & roar! Then they run and get this book and compare it. Lions are the 2nd largest species in the world, second only to the Tiger. The average male lion weighs about 180 kilograms (kg) while the average female lion weighs around 130 kilograms (kg).With beautiful photographs and short references about the Lions, their habitat, their social life between members of their Pride, their eating habits and about the white lion which are depicted on this book in high definition (full color) photographs.As this book has beautiful, full colored, high detailed, photographs/pictures you may want to share with your kids and/or students as they can serve as point for further discussions or a way to develop language skill by promoting the children to express themselves about what they see and understand by looking at the photograph or picture.
I ordered this book for my 16 month old daughter who is at the age where she is interested in all animals. I downloaded the book easily and quickly onto my tablet and used the Kindle app. It is important to note that the option was not available to download the book onto my Kindle Paperwhite presumably due to the fact the book is full of colorful images. This is another book of the excellent Baby Professor series. The book is short with a total of 16 pages that highlight various facts about lions. The length is perfect for my toddler whose attention span is extremely short! In addition, the book is full of great images that my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. She seemed to get more and more excited with every page. Overall, I would recommend this book to any parent. Its great for younger children to see the pictures and great for older children to practice reading.Pros:1) This is short book full of interesting facts about lions.2) The book is full of large, colorful images. Considering the subject matter (lions) most of the pictures are not frightening. However, at the very end the book talks about white lions and the first picture associated with these lions is actually quick scary. This was the only page in the book that my daughter didn't seem to enjoy.3) The reading is easy and quick.Cons:1) The only thing I didn't like is that one of the facts referenced the weight in kilograms. Living in the US, I had to look up what the conversion to pounds is. I don't think this warrants any decrease in stars since it actually provides an additional teaching opportunity to children. But it is something to note.I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest review.

The average male weighs around 180 kg (396 pounds) thats a huge cat.. Lions in the wild, in the grasslands, open woodlands, in all ofSub-Sarahan Africa. Lions live in the wild to around twelve years old. Lions are very social animals and live in prides with one or two males with all their babies and lionesses. Prides can be as small as 3 individuals up to as many as 40 individual animals. Lions are not Herbivores or Insectivores or even omnivores they are as most cats are carnivores eating strictly meat. In the wild they eat a large portion of wildebeest, antelope, impalas, buffalo, warthogs and zebras.Lions are the laziest of the large cats and spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping or resting under large trees or scrub brush.. My grandson is in 2nd grade and home schooled he is an avid reader just like his mom and aunt.
